Adelyn Bendorf

About Adelyn

Adelyn Bendorf has been passionate about music for as long as she can remember, playing her first songs on the piano at age two. Since then, she has participated in numerous recitals, concerts, and competitions as both a pianist and flutist.

Adelyn has performed with the Santa Clarita Valley Youth Orchestra, the Boise Youth Philharmonic, and the Los Angeles Youth Philharmonic. In January 2020, she received top flute honors in the Western United States through the Royal Conservatory of Music and was selected to perform a flute solo at the Celebration of Excellence Recital at USC.

After moving to Idaho, Adelyn began studying flute with Melanie Keller. In 2021, she earned second place in the Atlanta Flute Competition. She was also a first-place winner in the Boise Bach Festival and the 2022 Meridian Symphony Concerto Competition in both the flute and piano categories. That fall, she won first place in the branch Music Teachers Association Sonatina Festival for piano and received the top award from Boise Tuesday Musicale, a local organization dedicated to supporting the arts.

Adelyn has appeared as a featured piano soloist with the Meridian Symphony, performing Bach’s Keyboard Concerto in D Minor under the direction of Maestro James Ogle. She was also a third-place winner in the WNYLE International Piano Competition. Most recently, Adelyn received the top award in the Donald Runnicles Musical Arts Scholarship Competition. As a result, she appeared as a featured guest soloist with the Wyoming Symphony Orchestra, performing the first movement of Mozart’s enigmatic Piano Concerto in D Minor.
