Set how much each factor counts toward a match score. Instrument is always required to match, so it isn't weighted here.
🔒 Locked — title and option wording are editable below, but the four underlying categories (in-person / virtual / either / both) can't be added to, removed, or reordered. Distance is a separate, unweighted criterion — see below.
Customize the built-in criteria
Rename any of the original seven, or change the options for Experience, Instrument, and Style. Distance and Format can be renamed, and Format's option wording can be edited, but their underlying mechanics — the mile radius aside — can't be changed or removed, since matching logic depends on them.
Teaching style & personality
These two "vibe" criteria are grouped together since they're closely related — rename either, edit their options, or remove them from matching.
Add a new criterion
Create your own matching factor — e.g. "Instrument specialty" or "Studio amenities." Students and teachers will each pick from the options you list, and you can weight it just like the built-in factors.
Site Appearance
Pick a color and font scheme for the whole site — student, teacher, and admin screens all update together.

Big Tool — payment issues
Students who paid but whose payment couldn't be transferred to their teacher yet — usually a temporary issue with the teacher's Stripe Connect account. The student was still charged correctly; only the transfer to the teacher needs to be retried.

Data migration
One-time maintenance tools. These are here so the migration can be run and checked without the Firebase console. Once the teacher migration is done and confirmed, this whole section can be removed.
24-hour reminders
Teachers who haven't answered an inquiry within 24 hours get one reminder. This runs automatically every hour on the server now — it used to run only when someone logged in, so a reminder could sit unsent for days. Use the first button to run the real sweep immediately instead of waiting for the next hour. The second builds a reminder from your most recent inquiry and sends it to the studio address, so you can check how it looks without editing data or emailing a teacher.
Teachers → collection
Teachers currently live in one Firestore document holding a list of everyone. That caps out around 300 teachers and can lose edits when two people save at once. This copies each teacher into their own document. The original list is left untouched as a rollback, and the app reads whichever source is active automatically — so this is safe to run.
Run a preview first — the migration button unlocks after that.
This roster and inquiry list are visible only to signed-in studio accounts. Give studio access to people you trust with student contact details, and remove it when someone leaves. Avoid storing sensitive information here beyond what's needed for follow-up.

One flat listing fee once you've had your first connection. No commission on your lessons.
Send invoices to your students right from your dashboard. Five a month are free. If you send more, it's $10 for unlimited invoices that month.
Families pay by card in a couple of clicks, with no card fee for them. A card payment fee of 3.2% + $0.55 comes out of each card payment, and Stripe pays out to your bank. Cash, check, Venmo and Zelle stay between you and your families.
